A Bit of Background

Probus Club of Kincumber Inc. was formed on March 27, 1984.  Ted Johnson with the backing of Kincumber Rotary convened the inaugural meeting at the Avoca Bowling Club.

In 2009 our membership was declining so we became a mixed club, this was a concern to some of our members.  This concern was soon overcome when we saw our numbers grow and our club thrive.  Our membership is now in the  eighties, we have four Life Members and a steady flow of new member applicants.

Our activities are on:

Tuesdays:   The second Tuesday of the month - Social outing.

                   The third Tuesday of the month - Bushwalking

                   The fourth Tuesday - General Meeting at the Davistown RSL.

At our meetings we particularly enjoy each other's friendship and speakers who cover a wide range of topics.  We also have a golf group and theatre parties as well as the social outings and bush-walks,

Visitors and new members are most welcome at all events.
